Horseback Riding Programs and Lessons

We specialize in horseback riding lessons and year-round after-school riding programs for young children through advanced riders of all ages.  Our equestrian programs are run by experienced instructors on our own horses and ponies or your own horse.

We offer one hour Private and Group riding lessors for adults and children ages 6 and up.  Beginner students learn the complete care of their horses for preparing to ride and have a lesson. They learn to retrieve the horse out of the paddock, groom, tack up, and untack , clean up (hosing off )  their horse, feed and return to the paddock.  Parents are welcome to watch their child’s riding lesson in our heated and air-conditioned viewing lounge (equipped with cozy couches and flat screen TV).

Each lesson is customized to the individual's riding level of each rider. In order for us to guarantee you the utmost quality lesson, an evaluation ride is recommended for all of our clients.

What's an Evaluation Ride?  It is an initial first lesson where our instructors educate the student - step by step - on the grooming and tacking up process. Then the student is evaluated riding the horse.

Coaching is also available.  We highly encourage all of our students to get involved in competitions.  We host many competitions at Stoneridge yearly and also travel to local events where we’ll help the students get prepared before the event and provide Coaching at the event.

Jessica Thomson - Beginner Lesson Program

Jessica is an experience rider who teaches the younger students (ages 5-10) in a fun, interesting, and educational manner.  The goal of the Program is to produce young riders into happy, safe, educated, confident riders.

The children are encouraged to begin with The Boot Camp which is geared towards learning basic care, grooming, tacking up the horse, and general barn duties.  This is a great way to introduce children to riding and exposing them to the responsibilities that are involved.

Please call Jessica, Suzanne or Chimene to schedule lessons.
